When you have a health problem, it not only affects you physically, but can cause concern and anxiety emotionally as well. We feel it's important to treat the total problem, and thus, when the patient is well, the healing is more complete.
Helping a patient get well begins the moment you come through the door into Koff Chiropractic Clinic. We learn your name and tell you ours. We try to give you an appointment as soon as possible, no matter how long the problem has existed. When you come in we listen to your symptoms, care about the pain and discomfort and understand your nervousness about seeing a new doctor. We try hard to help, from the very beginning.
On you initial visit, you will be asked to fill out several forms. Why is this important? It is important for your doctor to gain as much knowledge as is possible on a new patient - past history, family history, and facts about the current problem.
We also ask questions concerning your insurance, to assist us as much as possible in filing for re-imbursement. We offer an in-house Chiropractic HMO for patients without insurance, called "Affordable Chiropractic Care". "In Addition", we also have a family plan in which you receive discounts on each family member.
During the exam, you will receive an orthopedic, neurological and physical examination, combined with a Chiropractic exam. This is a very complete exam. We ascertain as much about your condition and how complex it is, as we can. We determine during this examination, whether x-rays are indicated, how many are needed, and specifically what needs to be x-rayed.
If we locate a misalignment, we'll correct it by a spinal adjustment. Sometimes we use therapy, in addition to the adjustment, to help relax the muscles, and then, prescribe exercises to stretch and strengthen the muscles.
We take the time to explain how we plan to treat the problem, how long it will take, and what you can do to help yourself. Additionally, we advise you how to stay well, once you are well.
